  1. No. I'm with Jozi, I'm a Blues hockey fan and they've never won a Stanley Cup and they've been around since the '60's!!

    I despise the Red Wings!

  2. The Koolaid might but the Mountain Dew/AMP never will!!

  3. Unfortunately not because most Jr fans are the "new breed" of fans taht NASCAR is catering too. They think that since Jr gets the most tv time that he is the best. I doubt many of them have been watching for more than 10 years. If the koolaid doesn't run out at least we can still laugh at their ignorance for many many years to come!

  4. Wow it sounds like someone isnt feeling the love from Dale Jr.....why not go jump on the Kyle Busch wagon and like I saw elsewhere compare  "rowdy", "shrub", Kyle B, or whatever new nick name people can think of to Dale Sr. Look at this way those same people that say that they lost respect for Jr and will no longer be a fan will be rooting for him again. Its funny that people compare Jr or Busch to Dale Sr, there was and only will be one Dale Sr and I am sure if he had the same equipment that Busch has he'd be running circles around the rest of the field too. So to say that Busch is the best ever is just plain non-sense. Until a driver can do what Richard Petty and Dale Earnhardt Sr has done (win 7 cup championships and dont give me that oh but they didnt really have competition because thats bull!) you cannot and should compare them. You cant even really compare Sr to Petty as Petty won more races than Sr.

  5. Never!

  6. I refuse to be a fair weather fan. If I could stick with him through the entire 2007 season I can stick with him through anything.

  7. Wow, that article is old.  But Junior is like Anna Kournikova... they both dated Enrique Iglesias.

    Kidding!

Props to Prez of Jr Nation above me... that's the best answer I've seen in a while.  I'm a Blues fan, so I know pain... no Stanley Cups and haven't even been to the playoffs since the strike!  But I wouldn't dare switch allegiance.

  8. True race fans stick by their driver thru thick and thin, during the trophy years and the lean ones.

Most of these Jr. fans hopped on board by default when his daddy died.  Like I did.

I have reasons why I was a fan of Jr.'s for years and now I am not and it has nothing to do with his mediocre to good driving skills. Nothing really to do with his racing at all.

  9. the thing is some jr fans are loyal while others just want to like the most popular thing andyou are right those people are sheep who are also casual nascar fans.

  10. I think it's time that Jr. EARNED his adoration. He's lived off his father's since he came to racing.  I am NOT a Jr. hater.  I actually like Jr. and he's been thru a lot in his life.  Sr. wasn't the warmest of human beings toward his children.  But Jr. is a decent driver, not a great driver.

  11. Tell me something do you ask this question to Greg Biffle fans, since he's only finished in the top-10 once in his career? Yes I know the Biff doesn't have the fan base that Jr does, but the point is loyalty to your driver. Now, I was not a big Dale Sr fan, in fact in 2001 I was a fan of Bobby Labonte and didn't really become a Jr fan until he signed Martin Truex to run in the Busch Series. Oh yeah one more thing, one does not win 18 cup races and 2 Busch titles(one in his first full season) on name alone, sorry.

  12. If u like nascar watch it, if not then don't, its not always about being a cheerleader.

  13. Why does it bother people that JR is so popular?

Look at the Braves in baseball.  The Cowboys/49ers in football.  They are without question the most popular teams (with exception of the Pats, because of...again...bandwagon fans...just like Kyle) and they haven't won anything in years.

I avoided this place all of last week, in hopes of coming back to find some of the ignorance gone...needless to say it didn't work.

  14. Kool-Aid already ran out....used to sponsor the #30 Michael Waltrip car in the 90's...May have been on the car that Michael destroyed at Bristol, cannot remember off the top of my head.

  15. Loyalty to a driver even during a dry spell is a good thing. Blind ignorance in bashing everyone but Junebug is quite another thing, and should not be tolerated in civil society.

  16. It is a good thing that I don't hate on other (better) drivers like some of these people around here. I NEVER said jr was the best driver in NASCAR because I know better. I also know he's far from the worst but I know that and that is all that matters. Life is too short to be such a HATER..........especially when the guy NEVER did anything to you.
