  1. He will stay as long as the case goes on, after all if he quits then he would have to pay for his own lawyers.

  2. Hopefully, I can say as a Resident.... The people of  Detroit lost respect along time ago!!!

  3. HELLZ JEA!! I HOPE SO!!!! he needs to stay a few more nightes en jail tho, dnt ja think? lol

  4. Alright people, think back to all the people that have been mayor of this city in the past 20 years and the damage they have done...how is he any different?  Did they get the ax, no, and will he, probably not.  The only thing I can see is that this trial will be prolonged until the end of his term, in which case, who cares.  He's just one issue in a state with far too many issues.  Honestly, who cares anymore?  I hate to say it but I'm on the verge of being an ex-resident of Michigan, and he is just one reason for it.

So, in short, no I do not...

  5. Hopefully Govenor Granholm will step in and do what is best for the state. If this happens then yes, he will. He hasn't done it yet so I doubt that he will resign and step down by himself

  6. God I hope so. He just NEEDS TO QUIT NOW! I don't understand what he is thinking, he has TWO trials before him, if that's not interrupting city business I don't know what is.

  7. Yes. I'm sure they'll make him resign or they'll find a way to recall him, so that someone else can be voted in.  He sounds like a crook and I wouldn't want someone like that for a mayor.

  8. I believe he will lose his job.  His travel has been greatly restricted, he has to wear an electronic tether, and he has more charges being filed every day.  And now the clergy in Detroit are meeting tomorrow, possibly to make a formal request that he resign.  If he had not gotten in to this quagmire (from day 1 - Navigator, party at the Manoogian, etc.), I think that he'd have been a helluva mayor and he possibly could have gone to higher office.  You have to remember that he was the youngest Democratic floor leader in the State House, and if he had stayed, he would have been the youngest Speaker of the State Legislature.  But now, all this side show stuff has hurt his credibility and I don't know how he can continue.  He cannot lead effectively.

  9. Stop hatin. The real people of detroit still got love for the mayor. He ain't did nothing I wouldn't of did if I was mayor. He got my vote. The city is better now than its ever been. Mayor young is the one who messed the city up.

  10. Yes, it will take some time as all court cases do, but it is at a boiling point.  Does anyone say he should stay?  I haven't heard a single person say that.

  11. He will lose it sure, but I hope he hangs around for as long as possible.

I've become a Kwame Junkie ... can't get enough of the scandal... more bad news, the better. Maybe then when the boil is finally lanced the pus will ooze out and the City will be saved.

Until then, it's like watching a slow motion train wreck
