No.  I know that they were engaged before Palin was vetted.  You need to do some research and not just listen to your liberal media.  

At least they are handling it and taking care of it unlike many young people who get pregnant.  Most just murder the baby.

You realize the only reason that poor girl had to make anything public at this point was because the liberal smear machine started the c**p about her little brother actually being her son. No one can honestly say there has never been an unplanned pregnancy in their family. The key difference is, does the family help support and take care of this girl, or does the welfare state? He was given an offer he couldn't refuse.  Then he was told what to say and how to say it and what to do and how to do it.  If you notice they keep a tight reign on him since it was revealed Bristol is pregnant.  It would be interesting to see what he would have to say if he were peeled away from them, placed under witness protection and let a flurry of journalists question him with whatever he needed to tell the truth.

It's pretty obvious that things were rushed.

It was pretty clear that her daughter was trying to hide the pregnancy at Sarah Palin's introduction.    They thought they could 'slip it by' the election.

Then they flew the boy in the next day, in damage control.  

Really sick, if you think about it, since they are rushing an almost guaranteed disaster, and all to help mom's political career.

I don't think the parents forced their girl to have baby. The girl's behavior should not be the issue here. I trust every parents want their children to be good and live value based. The parents, I am sure might have taught the girl in all possible life value ways but it is unfortunate that such a young girl is to become a mother. It must have been so hard for the parents, family members as well as the children that were involved. Now that mother is nominated VP opponent are fast to thrash their wrath with the situation and making it unnecessary issue.

If Palin can't control her 17 year young daughter, how the h**l can she control a country? I've been saying that all day while discussing this election with my mom and she agrees. You people are just acting like this is no big deal just because you were either in the same situation and don't care about our children, or you just want to make it like it's no big deal because you don't want a man of color to win! It's a shame. I'm sure they did force them to act like they're engaged. WTF wants kids and a husband 17 even at 18 and 19 besides kids who think they're grown. I'm wondering if they even asked Bristol if they could make the pregnancy public or did McCain and Palin only care about the election and what would look best for them?  I don't see too many teen girls who would be willing to announce to the whole world that they got pregnant. I mean Palin and Mc Cain were forced to tell the truth about the pregnancy after all the internet rumors started.  Palin said she is proud to become a grandmother soon...but is she really telling the truth?  Why didn't she tell us about her daughter's pregnancy the day she introduced her entire family to us?  Instead they had her daughter hide behind a big blanket holding Palin's 3 month old son.  And who knows if they will get married or not.  If they really wanted to get married wouldn't they have done it already BEFORE the announcement?
