  1. Yes just for two teams. Carolina to the West, Detroit to the East. Carolina and Detroit are pretty close together so it wouldn't really matter..

This would also add some exictment to the East considering West dominated this year with so much better teams it might even it out.

Jason and Trombass: Sorry, I fixed it.

  2. Yeah for starters florida panthers should be moved west and placed in seattle.  Columbus put them in the east.  Columbus has not been around enough, so it could be in the east.  Detroit has been a western team for so long.  Get rid of the islanders and nashville.  Then there would be 28 teams.  4 divisions that would have seven teams.  Top 8 still advance on each side.

  3. Go back to the 6 original teams and get rid of all the glorified college players and have real talent with the 6 teams.  The original 6 teams were the Boston Bruins, New York Rangers, Detroit Red Wings, Chicago Black Hawks, Toronto Maple Leafs, and the most overrated team in professional sports, the Montreal Canadians.

  4. Yes. I dont much care which 2 teams they send to the western conference but they need to get the Wings and Hawks back in the east. Hockey is finally rebounding from some tough times and what better way to take the next step than to get the Original 6 back together and promoting those games. It kills me as a Wings fan to not see the Wings battle the Leafs or Habs several times a year. They were wise enough to make sure the next outdoor game would pit 2 of the Original 6, isnt the next logical step to re-unite those teams in 1 conference? Imagine what an easy sell it would be for prime time TV games between these teams. Just think how watched a saturday afternoon Wings-Rangers game would be. Too easy for Buttman to figure out though!

  5. Detroit to the East, and Atlanta to the West

  6. There is nothing much they can do right now, unless teams move its the best option.  they could make a diagonal cut like this /  across north america, having dallas, nashville, florida, TB, Atlanta, Carolina, Washington, Pitt, Philly, New York area teams, Boston and Buffalo, but that wouldnt really work out as the 3 Canadien teams out east have a lot of traveling

  7. I don't think the conferences should be realigned.  They're fine as they are.

McPetza:  Wouldn't Columbus go first, since they're farther East than Detroit?

  8. Though the Blackhawks Sweeping the Red Wings for the Cup would give me a hard on.  I still want the Red Wings to suffer under a decade of Blackhawks dominance instead.  And that can't happen if they are in the East.

So Red Wings stay, Columbus goes to Quebec in the East and Florida gets moved to Winnipeg in the West.
