  1. Partially, our  worldly communal wrecklessness of the environment, and mother earth are so flagrantly irresponsible, and lacking in compassion that we are all to blame for the GLOBAL DISASTERS! But we can change I hope we do!

  2. Just natural disasters.

As you say, there are more people on the earth, so more casualties.

  3. Nope.  Earthquakes have absolutely nothing to do with GW.  The Myanmar cyclone was nothing special, just a medium-sized cyclone that hit a very vulnerable spot.  The tornado outbreak in the USA this spring is above average, but just a sympton of the way the jet stream is flowing at the moment.  There is no vast pattern of change, just more people in the way of these things.

  4. no I dont that idiot al gore cannot base any of it onscientific fact. plus these things have been going on lon before man came into the picture I think that the media crries a bit to the extreme (if it bleeds it leeds) but thats how things are today

  5. kinda scary huh?.... over the last 7 years or so i have seen a massive change in the amount of deaths and natural disasters... the floods, the earthquakes.... the famines..... the tsunami... etc....... we have even had tornados and earthquakes here....... amazing... scary and amazing

  6. You mean like the most recent cyclone that has killed tens of thousands and has put 1.5 million at severe risk. Well let me just say I am suspicious to say the least.

Cyclones have been happening long before GW was an issue. However the intensity and frequency of cyclones is really what is at question. Let's just say that GW does not help.

“It’s also important to note that the emerging consensus among the climate scientists is that even though any individual storm can’t be linked singularly to global warming – we’ve always had hurricanes,” Gore said. “Nevertheless, the trend toward more Category 5 storms – the larger ones and the trend toward stronger and more destructive storms appears to be linked to global warming and specifically to the impact of global warming on higher ocean temperatures in the top couple of hundred feet of the ocean, which drives convection energy and moisture into these storms and makes them more powerful.”

  7. Well since there is not one shred of proof that "global warming"  is causing these "natural disasters" I'll go with the obvious, that being that nature happens. BTW "global warming" would be an act of god or "a natural disaster" which occurs with clock like regularity just like Ice Ages.

  8. I don't believe global warming is a real occurrence.

  9. ah its only the media

*sings gummy bear song in german*

  10. Global warming has nothing to do with earthquakes, volcano's, tornado's, cyclones or other natural events.   It's to bad that we are fixated on global warming and wasting energy on it.

  11. no it's global warming all right, Gaia's revenge, and she be pissed at us

  12. No it's the cows fault MOO.

  13. I believe that some of them are, but not all.

I just hate to see what's going to be left for our kids!

  14. not really.

for starters, the earth has a continuous cycle, some cycles are every few hundred years, some every 20 years. etc

another thing, a lot of the areas effected are in lower areas where there shouldn't be a lot of people living there but there are.   some of these areas are overly crowded.

we also have better access to media coverage compaired to a hundred years ago so we hear about everything the second it happens, sometimes before it happens. so we hear more about the bad things that are happening around the world.

too many people are too quick to blame "global warming" for any little thing that happens.  This is Earth, things happen, always have been, always will be.

There was a major flood in the Biblical days but I don't hear anyone crying out "Global warming" for that one.  we didn't have cars or factories back then.

  15. no

  16. probably, but so was the end of the last ice age.....

  17. no..its just mother nature reminding us that she will always be in charge

  18. Influenced by would be a more appropriate term.

Media coverage is usually poor and regurgitated from press releases, unless it is done by a beat reporter, who then at least has some chance at getting it right.

  19. Probably not. But GW is very real.

  20. I do, just like the ice ages and the dark ages and everything else, were all gonna be wiped out soon

  21. could it be a result of people rejecting God???

just a thought, don't hate on me!

  22. No, I personally think it is a sign of the end of times.

  23. There you go thinking.  That's a no no.  Thinking and global warming are not allowed in the same sentence.  So get ready for the 'not a question or answer' deletion.

With Gore and the UN?  Everything will be linked one way or another to the US's refusal to be cripple by Kyoto and other such policies.

But rest assured in the next administration they will hobble the us just fine.

  24. Global Warming is a natural phenomenon caused by many factors and has been happening since the birth of our planet... sadly, those on the left believe it's caused by mankind. There is only one type of natural disaster that we can POSSIBLY prevent and for the most part we can see it coming and do something about it... Can anybody think of what that disaster is???
