Do you think the PRESIDENTIAL Race is to Corporate compared to the past?

it seems these candidates are more like savvy sales people selling a product or service to the public instead of public servants. These guys hire focus groups, marketers, acting coaches, speech writers, etc.

Going back in history it was more personal and real. Do you think this is the sign of modern times, or just the symbolism that big corporations are the ones influencing government

I think you're pretty right on with that sentiment.  The way it functions is cooperatish (that a real word? lol).  The way it's portrayed to the public is more like American Idol.  Quite sad actually.
