Do you think the PS2 is at its end?

Freebie, and I apologize for being a little (meaning very) sparse on giving free questions out lately...I've neglected to be true to my words ("I will ask a freebie question every couple of days at the least, every day at the most"), so I once again apologize.

Moving on, I wanted to say that the PS2 is probably the console that's had the longest running popularity, that's for sure, and while the Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii are starting to take over, the PS2 is still getting tons of games made for it. So, do you think that the PS2 should give up and leave with dignity, or fight until the end? Or something in between?

Personal Opinion: (Too bad if you don't want my opinion, you're gonna get it, or just don't read this part) I feel that the PS2 should keep going until they are forced to shut down because of whatever cause, but I'm asking this for a reason...

I personally think PS2 is past its end because I've owned a 360 for two years now and the graphics and game play are un-comparable. For example when GTA III came out I thought it was the most amazing game in the world. I've played through GTA IV a few times now and the other day i was at my cousins house and he only had a PS2 and i was playing GTA III and i had to shut it off after about 5 mins, yeah it was that bad, but they should definitely keep it around because some people can't/don't want to pay for a 360/PS3. If I never played 360 i would be happy with PS2.

if the PS2 was at an end it wouldn't have recent game titles appear on that console like mercenaries 2, so no i don't think the PS2 is at an end.

as long as they are able to make a profit they will keep it going, if the PS3 and xbox360 keep on getting cheaper then PS2 will go out of business.

It's definitely at its end, it seems to be just barely holding on by the fact that so many people already own one, and the guitar hero franchise (peripherals and all) are still paying dividends for sony.
