I know that all the nonsense that Manny was spouting was very distracting and all, but Manny was one of the most important parts of the teams that won the World Serieses, just want to know your opinion. I don't think the Sox had too much choice.

  1. In terms of Production equity, no. But For Boston's Mental well being, Yes.  He did need to Go, because clearly the relationship was beyond Repair. My only PRoblem is that Ramirez seemed to be Acting like an Idiot, because he thought Boston was going to pick up his 20 mill Option Next year and stall him getting a free agent deal of like 3-4 years from sum team. So, Why didnt boston just bring him in and say *Manny, you can stop acting like this, we are not going to pick up your option*... that might have solved that behavior. It just seems to me that Trading him weakens their team, and any unbiased person looking at it would say the same thing.... I think It was a mistake. But im a Yankee Fan, so im Happy =)

  2. good for the sox..bad for the dodgers..i am an Indians fan...he said the same thing about Cleveland that he did about Boston..the tribe managers didnt like him..they didnt appreciate his talents...he is a cry baby that wants his way...

  3. Good trade, but the Red Sox have no chance of getting to the WS now.

  4. We had to get rid of Manny either way. But, us Red Sox fans need to realize Jason Bay is not going to be a Manny Ramirez. He does not have the presence of Manny, and is not going to produce Manny-like numbers.

Jason Bay is going to be under a lot of pressure in Boston, that's for sure.

  5. for the red sox yes he was such a slob that cant run what he said was so ennoying the red sox dont deserve me

  6. I think it was an excellent trade for the redsox

  7. Yes ... for my Dodgers.

  8. yes for the Dodgers

  9. It is good

  10. I think it had to happen.  Manny would have destroyed the clubshouse w/his attitude.  Jason Bay the best replacement they could have got

  11. Bad Move he is the best hitter in the game...He is better now that he has real strenght not STERIOD strenght!

  12. I think the Red Sox got the best of this deal. Manny no longer wanted to be there. Manny and Bay have very similar HR & RBI totals over the last 3 years and Bay still has some good years ahead of him at 29. Manny is 36 and fading fast the last 4 years. I think Bay will hit more homers at Fenway than Manny will in Dodger Stadium.
