Do you think the Tampa Bay Rays are capable of making it to the playoffs ?

I think the Tampa Bay Rays are capable of making it to the playoffs because they are doing great this season . They are scoring a lot of runs a game . Even if there star players like Carl Crawford and all-star rookie Evan Longoria , they still seem to prove they can win without them .

*There is probably more I can add but that's all i'm going to put . Those are my main points i'm trying to make .

Yes. Don't listen to that Yanks fan, he's just mad his team with the highest payroll will be sitting home watching the playoffs this year. Rays can make it as a wild card as long as they hold off Chicago and Minnesota.

I definetly could see them getting there. Winning it all... not likely. But Evan Longoria like you mentioned is an awesome player. Hope I helped! :)

It's possible but I don't think they will go very far. There is a theory, the pythagorean that predicts a teams win loss record from number of runs it scores and and allows. If a team is above there pytha then they have been lucky and luck runs out. Tampa Bay is way ahead of their pyathagorean. In time they will have to lose some games to balance out. There may be a collapse in the near future and then maybe not until next year. The Tigers have been consistently below their pythagorean and I wonder when they will win the games they are due. They have scored more runs than they have given up and yet have a losing record.

Without a doubt the Rays are for real. They have limited depth in terms of "superstars" but people like Eric Hinske and Ben Zoberist are stepping up to make up for the talent on the DL. Kazmir, Garza and Shields are a formidable 1,2,3 and I love their ability to play small ball. Hope to see them go deep into the playoffs.

Yea they just need to stick together through these injuries and come up with some runs. It's exciting to watch and i just hope they finish above either boson or new york for a change.

As a Yankee fan its hard to be honest...but yeah i believe that Tampa will make the play offs. Both the yankees and the red sox are having trouble winning and making a run. I think as long as Kazmir and Shields stay consistent, and the rest of the team make up for the absence of crawford and Longoria, they will be fine. Now, with that said, I do think they will have trouble winning in the play offs due to their inexperienc ein a play off situation.
