  1. Toronto is 12 games out with 37 left to play. They are 4th in the AL East and wildcard races. Assuming they win 25 of their remaining 37 games (just over 67%), Tampa Bay only needs to win 14 of their remaining games to shut them out of the division and Boston would need just 18 out of 36 to shut them out of the wildcard.

They may still be alive in the playoff race, but they're on life support.

  2. They need to improve their offensive standards. The pitching is awesome already.

    Holliday

    Burnett

    Marcum

    Litsch

and whoever the 5th starter is are doing awesome!

Until the offense starts to over power division rivals I dont think the Jays will make it to the post-season.

  3. no

  4. No, they won't and as a Jays fan, I will tell you why I would cringe if they did.

If the Jays actually made it to the playoffs, JP Ricarrdi could go to the management and say "see, I got us in, I am a success" and they may be stupid enough to agree and sign him to an extension.

As a Jays fan, I would rather them finish 5th and fire JP than 3rd or even 2nd in the division and keep him.

  5. No chance you can book it. The Rays are on fire and even if they fizzle out BOS and the NYY will make a run no matter what

  6. I hope they do to. They maybe one of the best teams in baseball that doesn't have the record to show it. If they were Under Cito Gaston the whole year their probably looking at a much better situation. The offence can be inconsistent at times but the defence and pitching is amazing. They still have somewhat of a shot at the wild card but they will have to play the best baseball that they have ever played in their life. I believer 3rd place is still an easy shot for us again..... Get sick of getting 3rd even with our great team but i say next year we will have a better shot. But im still rooting for the Jays and im not going to stop believing till a team in the wild card and in the division are to far for the jays to physically catch up.

  7. Unfortunately no, I wish but they just have really good pitching but they got rid of Troy Glaus, and Ecstein is good, but Troy's better.  Maybe next year!

  8. No

  9. It is so late in the season that this question should not even be asked.

    No, but try next year.

  10. I am a fellow fan too, and I do think it is possible. it is a long shot, but possible As of today they have 8 games against the  Rays,6 against the Red Sox, 8 against the Yanks, 3 with the twins and 4 with the white sox. All teams who are potentially "in the way" If they can win a good majority of these games and also succeed in their games against other teams they have to verse like the Orioles.

  11. As a Jays fan...I too am hoping for the Jays to make the playoffs but the chances are slim. Only if they didn't suck so much in July and have so many injuries then the playoff picture for the Jays would be so much more clear. The Jays next 12 games are against Yankees, Red Sox and Rays, so...the Jays have to sweep all 3 teams in order to have a chance at the Wild Card at least. With the way the Jays are playing I think they could pull that off.

  12. They are a good underrated team but not this year. I expect them to at least go at it every year but.. not enough offense i think. The pitching is great though!

anyways they aren't going into playoffs but they have a shot in knocking the yankees into 4th place! that's something!

    go blue jays! ;)

  13. No FREAKIN way. Are you kidding? Do you know how many games they are behind?

  14. No they wont
