Do you think the U.S. will have another depression?

Who knows - it's all guesswork, but I certainly hope not, because the US will drag the rest of the developed world down with it.

Our (Australia's) economy is going just great at the moment so leave us out of it, please!

On the plus side, perhaps there will be some action taken in the US now to control the stupidity and greed of the lending institutions.

No i think the recession will be bad enough though...

Yeah - at some point,  Markets fluctuate and dumb laws sometimes drive the markets to respond in ways that cause depressions.  Some of the safeguards though, enacted after the last depression should make their likelihood smaller

No , but the economy is going to be hurting for a long time if they don't get price gouging under control

the u.s. is in recession but we wil almost definately not have another depression. although it doesnt seem like it, the economy is a lot more stable now then it was back then.

Not to the depths of the 30s, but more like a panic

I believe were headed to it. Gas prices almost $4 in some states is INSANE! Food costs going up, but wages are not.

Who cares! Just stock up on plenty of alcohol and toilet paper.
