Do you think the UK has too many immigrants?

Question

Most of the recent gun/knife crimes are linked to gangs, and most gang members are immigrants or have parents who are immigrants. Do you think the UK government should get rid of them if a member of their family commits a crime?

Do you think it's right that in many cities in shops & restaurants, if you try and talk to them you have to keep repeating yourself as they can't understand you? Is it right that many immigrants are getting housed before UK residents?

Please tell me your opinion on immigrants in the UK and what you think should be done.

Why do we blame immigration everytime. Yes, immigration has got impact on several things but we need to find a solution to sort the problem, not soemthing to blame on and wash your hand off. World has gone very diverse, even though the countries like India, China, Brazil are becoming very diverse as because of emerging economies and more oppurtunities. Immigration has to be controlled but not a issue where we can put every blame on. This give deeper effects on the whole which is not fair!!

This country's screwed. That's why I refuse to fight in the army, even though I want to. I don't see the point in defending a country that's already damned itself with it's idiotic laws. Infact, it's not even Britain anymore... let's just name it as another part of Asia or Africa.

I'm not sure what race group you belong to.

However, let me explain something about myself.  By race I am a Brythonic Celt.  DNA studies being carried out by a team from Oxford Uni - are discovering that the Celts of Wales and Cornwall have an ancestry here in UK going back 15,000 years.

Yes and even we came from somewhere else - forests of Germany, Gaul, wherever.

One guy's body they dug up at Stonehenge had come all the way here from Switzerland - formerly Helvia - a Celtic kingdom of ancient times.

In the City of Bath they found and dug up the body remains of an Egyptian Priest who had come to Bath in the 4thC AD - must have been a massive Egyptian Temple there back in those days.

Meanwhile, up in Yorkshire, the same Oxford Uni DNA testing team have found large sections of the population of Yorkshire with pure African DNA - yet all are white.  Why?  Because many of them have ancestors who were in the Auxhillary Roman Legions stationed there in the 2nd and 3rd Centuries AD - these soldiers were from Ethiopia.

A few years ago a team found the body and burial of the Chief of the Parisii up on the Yorkshire Moors - his body, his horses, his chariot and lots more besides.  Ask youself, what the h**l was the Chief of the Parisii [from Paris] doing all the way up there in Yorkshire - bore the Roman occupation of Britain.

So, add to this already mixed up mix, a few bunches of Romans, some more Celts, a couple of Legions Africans from Ethiopia, Greeks, North Africans, Arabs, Germans, Dutch, Danes, plus and assorted mixed bag of Vikings, war-mongering Barbarians from all over Northern Europe - - and, you are starting to get close to the make up of the Brits.

A friend of mine is is Jamacian by race origin, but born in Brixton and whos mum and date came from the Windies in c1949 - he told me that Brixton ain't what it used to be.  Too many African immigrants.

Now where have I heard that before?

See, I was born in 1941 and back then the only Black folk here in London were our own British born black folk, plus hundreds of thousands of Black Yankee soldiers.

Britain is like a sponge - it absorbs new cultures and new idea but retains what it already has.

Sorry, you have to define "too many". Too many to do the low paid jobs, too many to do the difficult work.

You are a sad victim of the media who spread their poison in a way that makes divvies like you get all excited. There have been several very nasty murders carried out by loser white yobs who can't help themselves because they have been brought up with the same twisted mentality as you.  You need to look at the broader picture and not expose yourself as a slap head who blames everything on the easiest target.

What needs to be done is round up all the scum and losers that we see infecting the council estates of our beautiful country and get them working at something instead of wasting their lives.

Immigration is a global phenomena, not just in the U.K. As for crimes commited by immigrants, this is just prejudice. Indeed many crimes are commited by the English also.I just came back from a holiday in Hong Kong where there are many English immigrants, the news recently there was an English police officer stole money from colleagues' lockers and it's been going on for a while until he got caught out. About communication, it's hard to expect a foreigner to speak fluent English like yourself do, but try to be a bit understanding and tolerating. In Hong Kong, no Englishmen speak local Chinese language either but did the Chinese blame them ? No, they speak whatever English they could manage with them . So what do you say about this ? The Chinese have broader minds to accept foreign immigrants.

The UK has many immigrants, yes. But 'too many immigrants', well, that is a matter of opinion. You are probably right in that a lot of petty crime is linked to immigrants. However, a large number of professionals such as doctors, scientists, lawyers, academicians, IT people, etc. are also immigrants. So, good and bad may be pretty balanced. Well, of course you'll face some teething problems here and there, some dissatisfaction here and there. But what do you do about it ? It is a worldwide problem. My opinion is that this is an ongoing process of demographics. You may call it globalisation. Just like water flows from higher ground to lower ground, so too humans move from one pasture to another. It has been happening throughout the history of civilisation. Look at the US. It is almost entirely comprised of immigrants. Look at Australia and New Zealand. So why should good old England be spared ? I am not entirely pro free movement of immigrants. I personally feel that a stricter immigration policy is necessary for the simple reason that people should not run away from their countries of origin for purely economic reasons. Rather, they should go all over the world to seek knowledge, gain practical experience and then return to their countries of origin and put their knowledge and experience to good use. That way we'll get to see a new world order whereby the whole world will develop, instead of just a few countries topping the list and bullying the others.
