  1. we have plenty of oil to drill. its time for dictator Pelosi to at least allow a vote on the subject.

  2. yes, if we elect leaders who are truly committed to:

    1. Alternative fuels, and

    2. Conservation

Conservation is key.  We need to consume less.  We'll lead better lives if we learn to curb our unhealthy, gluttonous behaviours.  But this idea scares a lot of Americans.

  3. Big oil owns the US govt, so we will never move to alternate sources of energy, and therefore the answer is

    NO

  4. Of course we can, but we have to look at the costs of switching to hybrid -high mpg cars, building more nuclear power plants, switch to non-corn based ethanol, such as switch grass, commercially exploiting, shale oil deposits, funding experiments in geothermal plants, etc.  There are energy alternatives, we need a long term strategy to bring them into commercial use.

  5. Anything is possible under the right leadership

  6. NOt likely, America is the largest consumer of oil.  Even if drilling in Alaska was a viable solution it still is only a drop in the bucket.

America not only consumes currently all of it's own oil.  They consume more than half of Canada's oil and then another large percentage of middles eastern oil.

  7. Yes drill in Alaska.............keep the Dems. out of office.

  8. Help me elect Obama and it will happen in less than ten years.

  9. Yes,We need to drill now, This is an issue that is very important,The Democrats dont want us to drill because they get to much money from the Arabs,They are protecting there source of funds,Obama & Biden biggest contributors are Muslim sympathizers,

  10. Not until OBAMA and PELOSI are gone.

  11. It is very possible, but not as long as we have morons like Pelosi and Reid in charge.

  12. Yes.  Easily enough, but public opinion would not allow it.  It would involve much greater use of the USA's oil deposits, more nuclear plants, and a much higher price at the pumps.

  13. Other countries have done it,but we only get a small percentage of oil from the middle east. Most of our oil comes from Russia,Mexico, and Canada.

  14. if brazil can do it, america can also.

  15. Yes, but three things will have to happen:

    1) Politicians will have to stop skirting around the truth and hit the root of the problem rather than worry about reelection.

    2) Proper incentives will have to be put in place by government such as tax breaks for eco-friendly production and innovations with technology.

    3) Corroboration on part of car companies, gas stations, and utility suppliers to combine technologies so that one will benefit the other, i.e., hydrogen fuel cell cars and gas stations who supply hydrogen.

  16. theoretically anything is possible, however in the next four years, i doubt it. New technology is taking to long and we need oil until that develops.

  17. WE have to be most of the regimes in the Middle East hate us.  Saudi Arabia not Afghanistan was responsible for 9-11 and they are among the top oil producers in the world maybe that is why they are not on the list of terror states

  18. not as long as we have conservative fascist who do nothing about it until they lose the majority of power and then complain its the liberals fault when they are the ones who want alternative power only to have the fascist say its unproven,

  19. That's definitely a long shot. Plus Big Oil companies will do anything to prevent it from happening - there is no crime on earth they can not commit for this.
