  1. Worse, regardless of whether its McCain or Obama they both are promising bigger government and higher taxes which means a worse economy.  McCain doesn't support drilling for oil in the US and Obama agrees with him on that and wants to tax the production of gasoline.  He's calling it a windfall profit tax on the oil companies but what it will be is an another additional tax on gasoline.

  2. worse. after the new election as well

  3. worse

  4. Its gonna get worse better it gets better. Recessions usually last longer than 5 years.

  5. Yes.  Both.  Worse in the short term.

  6. Did you ever hear the story about the Titanic... The first indication that they had a problem was they felt the large ship shudder just a bit as it scraped the ice-burg... They then proceeded to re-arrange the deck chairs until it was too late.. I think we have an analogy somewhere here.

  7. The robbery of the people by the oil co. could push us into a deep depression. Then we all loose.

  8. I think worse if the war doesn't end and people stop acting like a bunch of imbeciles. There are so many issues to consider... the war, immigration, prices, hopefully whatever Bush did can be alleviated by the next person that steps in.

  9. worse in the short term, but with elections coming up the economy will be a BIG issue with lots of promises to fix it. The market has already been beaten up pretty bad with the credit crisis, so I think if we can do something to bring oil prices down it will bounce back big... good time to buy into the market in my opinion...
