well, they can't accept their loss and blame it on whatever reason .. because they are taller and look more mature, they made claims that the chinese gymnast are underage .. N they blow it big using all sort of their media .. one way to make them happy.. just give them a gold or two .. yea ? Hard to tell ..esp if one were to follow how their fans claim points are given unethically and bias.

Well, i prefer to believe that in the true sportmanship that runs in the Olympic...

  1. Since the judges' mark is still two thirds of the overall score in gymnastics, it would be easy for them to do what figure skating tried to pull six years ago at the Winter Olympics.  Sorry to be cynical, but gold medals have a way of shutting extra loud countries up.  That's why they awarded dual gold medals during that figure skating debacle.  Due to the corruption, the ISU and the IOC could have declared those two figure skating competitions null and void.  Instead, they awarded a gold medal to the loudest protesting country, Canada.

  2. Ha that is kind of funny. People who were actually paying attention to the olympics can see quite clearly what's going on. First of all, in the Team competition, yes the chinese did perform better, BUT there are definitely valid disputes about the age of the chinese women. Not just the American Gymnasts, but from lots of other people as well. Just read the headlines on Yahoo. The chinese papers themselves, less than six months ago had at least 3 of the girls listed as younger than 16 in different broadcasts, newspapers, etc. And now they are saying ALL of those are mistakes, but the passports are correct? Come on.

Second of all, in the all around competition, America more than deserved the Gold and Silver medals. I mean did you see that? There were at least 2 occasions where America got "slapped in the face" with the low scores they were given. It was absolutely ridiculous, and then the Chinese made basically the same exact mistakes with the same start value and got a better score? Even the announcers (so what if they were american) knew that we were being gyped. I don't understand, because i know all the judges are not Chinese, but it was totally unfair judging.

It sucks and hurts to believe that people would take something as special as the Olympics and turn it so ugly, but i believe what i see, and honestly that is what our world has come to.

  3. LMAO...what the other people said.

You clearly did NOT watch it.

The AMERICANS got underscored, the CHINESE got overscored.

  4. Yeah, that's it... and somehow the Americans made the Chinese girls fall on their vault, lose their balance on the beam.

The medals were awarded on merit. The US performed MUCH better in the Individual All-Around than they did in the Team competition. The Chinese performed worse. Scores went up for the Americans and down for the Chinese. Good judging for the most part.

  5. Yes, I think it that way. They're not really that amazingly good but the commentator talks like they are really good so the people believe the commentators. I think the Russians are much better but they're given low scores than the American. I think the judges are getting a lot of pressures from US media and people who whine a lot.

  6. Obviously you are a chinese bull sh33ter

  7. oops:  http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5hi4rz...

Sports are about rules and those that can best compete under the conditions of those rules.  If someone has broken the rules, then he/she should be penalized; if it's the government that has participated in the breaking of the rules, then that's just downright frightening.

Yesterday's performance was undoubtedly dominated by the two US women.  If anything the bronze medalist received a strangely high score for her beam and floor routines.

  8. probably, if giving them a gold would make the annoying americans shut up well then whatever, give it to them

  9. Actually, the judges are giving higher scores to the Chinese.

Did you watch it? If you did, you would clearly see who is better.

  10. You make no sense.  Did you watch it at all?  Did you not see how much time the judges deliberated on each individual score? Does it hurt THAT MUCH that the American's won??  Who has the poor sportsmanship?

This has to be the most ignorant question I've heard (and very close to a rant).

    GO USA!!!!!!!!

  11. I don't think that they were given 1 and 2 because of all of that.  If you re-watch the balance beam competition, Shawn Johnson gave an excellent performance with a step on her landing.  The Chinese girl had FOUR balance checks and a step on the landing and scored higher.  Where was the favoritism there?

  12. you need your eye check or re-watch it.  the US out perform the chinese.

  13. The Chinese girl lost her balance jumping up on the beam, and lost it a couple of other times.  She still got a high score.

As far as age, the Chinese gov't removed the page from the official newspaper that stated they were too only 14 yrs old.  The only proof now is the downloaded copy.  Is this sportsmanship?

  14. they deserved the 1 and 2 spots because if anything they werent awarded points like china who did nothing for huge amounts of points but the us was deprived of points and still won that just shows how good we are

  15. Did you even watch the gymnastics? Even though the Chinese girl got third place, she actually got higher scores than she was supposed to. She didn't get the marks taken off for balance checks, bobbles, and other things like she was supposed to. While on the other hand the Americans should have scored higher, but had points taken off for who knows what. Yes, I am an American, but there have been people from other countries I thought should have scored better also. I don't just root for the Americans. Sometimes I root for players from other countries too.

As far as the American's complaining. Their not. I'm assuming you're talking about the age dispute. What many people don't know is that the age dispute started before the Olympics even started.

  16. No I don't, but apparently you do. Not sure if you watched it or not but the Americans were near flawless last night with some incredibly solid routines...the same could not be said about their counterparts. The events of the team medals have nothing to do with the individual medals and they won on ability. I wish people would stop coming up with conspiracy theories solely for the purpose of goading Americans.

  17. Shawn Johnson got robbed on the balance beam.  Her performance was nearly flawless, yet the Chinese scored higher.

  18. take any romanian, french, spanish, german, etc. gymnast and put her next to any of the chinese girls and you will see a difference.  The chinese girls are no way 16.  Its basic human development that not one of the chinese girls has gone through puberty yet, but all the other girls around the world have..../
