I pray we won't. But by sending in "humanitarian supplies" we have already committed ourselves. Now when someone (probably Georgians disguised as Russians) attacks the supply convoys the US will send in combat troops.

You people are selfish and wrong.I served in the US military and served it all overseas.  Are military is strong and still is strong. And the georgia conflict its are duty to help with whatever georgia needs.  Russia moved in overnight a suprise to the world.  Wonder why they can not be trusted. Just keep being pushovers and your grandchildren mght be flying a different flag.  RUSSIA HATES THE US THEY ARE ALWAYS TRYING TO FIND WAYS TO DESTROY US.

I can see that if Russia attacks our convoys then yes no doubt in my mind that we'd get into a direct armed conflict with them. Once that would happen the President and Congress would have to reinstate the draft and put the country's military under "all options" mode. Pray that nothing of the sort happens, if your smart like our fathers before us, start building a fall out shelter and stock up. If you live in a large metropolitan area get the h**l out as soon as the first shots between us are fired, or kiss your *** goodbye. The dooms day clock is drawing closer to midnight. My grandpa says this reminds him of the 50's and 60's but the difference now is that it's looking more like the beginning of a world war again.

I guess you didn't hear the news today.... Russia gave the US an ultimatum. Choose to support Russia or Georgia. We chose Georgia. We are sending our ships into the Georgian ports with Humanitarian supplies.  So, yeah. We are involved.
