  1. No ,the team they have now is fine!

  2. no  the team right now is awesome how it is

  3. nope they should just go with who ever gives them the best chance to win.

  4. Yeah. Just think about it. Jason Kidd is the only guy over 30. Everyone else was born in the mid 1980s, so there are barely any veterans. T-Mac would be a great addition, as well as Duncan and Garnett. Billups no so much because we're loaded at that position and not really Vice Carter, although he was amazing in 2000.

  5. Well they did add Jason Kidd and Kobe Bryant so yeah.

  6. If you want some real oldies I suggest Robert Parish. Hail to the chief!

  7. they already had their chances, they need the young players to get more experience in the international level to develop into a duncan, garnett etc.

  8. What up SteveYaoMac,

Well i'm sure all the guys you listed above were given invites- and it's up to them whether to accept or not.

This year though i think they were a lot more strategic and forming their team surrounding the perimeter with 3 point shooters- and finding big men who can hit the outside shot- which is a bit more of the international game.

I would have definitely preferred to have like a Garnett over a Boozer, and Chauncey over Jason Kidd, (although i think they put Kidd there to provide some international experience).

This year's team is good enough and have all their bases covered that there is no reason they shouldn't win the gold.

    Go Red, White, and Blue.

  9. No. Did you see how they played last night. I don't think you need to change anything if you win by 55 points. I know it's Canada but still that is an incredible team. Jason Kidd, Kobe Bryant aren't inexpierienced and neither is Lebron because he made it to the finals 2 years ago.

  10. Gilbert Arenas just came back from injury.

Kevin Garnett doesn't want to play for team USA.

Vince Carter is not good now and he is also coming off of injuries.

Chauncey Billups played for us last year but we did not need him.

Tracy Mcgrady is good but he seems to not be a substantial player (cannot get out of round one but could win the most games straight in NBA history)

Tim Duncan is not even from USA.

  11. No, the current USA squad got some veterans in Kidd, Kobe, Redd, Prince. Actually, the entire USA team has no rookies. The USA team will dominate on their way to a gold metal. Go USA!

  12. yes, why not! Oldies are Veterans..T-mac should be one of the 12 players and with that, I'm sure they're the champion in the coming beijing olympics

  13. well Duncan wouldent play for the u.s but they dont put in the older players because

1.The older players really value the off season and would probably say no anyway

2.The players teams might not give them permission because as with age comes injuries

I know what your saying though

  14. the only one that would make a big impact is garnett

  15. yea definitely garnett HE IS A BEAST!!!

  16. None of those guys were on the selection team except billups, but he pulled out for personal reasons.

here was the original selection pool:

AI never committed to the the 2008 olympic team. Only 33 NBA players did, which are the following:

    32.Williams

    33. Paul Pierce (Boston Celtics)

Billups and Stoudemire both dropped out

    billups for family reasons

    and stoudemire just like that

As well as Pierce dropped out

  17. i mean J.Kidd is experienced and he had 0pts last night ;)

but yea, i wanted Garnett to be on the team
