Between gasoline prices, and the terrible housing market, and the cost increase in absolutely everything, will the breaking point be another depression? Your opinion?

  1. bush has squandered and is continuing to squander americas wealth

what does not go into his friends pockets at great waste fraud and abuse.. is going to countrys hostile to america.

massive amounts of wealth are going to countrys like saudi arabia.. where the only people who like the usa are the dictator there and his family.. cus our cia will try to keep him in power.  the rest of the country hates us for interfering with their freedom.

gas prices have caused the cost of transportation to go up.. so food is up.. everything is up. everything but wages.. which are down.. the national debt has skyrocketed.. and continues to rise due to bush's irresponsable spending.. bush spends on wars of corporate profit like iraq.. instead of investing in things like wind farms.. solar farms and other things that will wean us from what is killing us.. our dependance on non renewable fossile fuels.

4 trillion for iraq war.. a war of lies that never needed to be fought.. would have bought enough windfarms to provide near free electricity for our cars.. .. oh no electric cars? .. ahh ..true.. not while big oil owns our politicians... .. not till the americans rise up and start booting those entrenched corrupt politicians in washington out.

fire them all and start over.. we couldnt do any worse than we are now..

then when the new guys show up.. assign a team of fbi agents to each one to monitor the lobbiests connections to them .. so they dont just buy the next generation of politicians too.

better yet .. do what chavez did.. nationalize our energy industry.. run it non profit for the people instead of the leeches stealing our resources now.  use any profits to engineer the future of energy .. solar .. wind.. and hydro...

in 20 years electricity could be free for everyone.  the 4 trillion dollars bush pissed away for haliburtoin.. black water and the other wartime profiteers wohuld have gone a LONG way to establishing americas future energy base.

bush should be impeached.. and most of congress should be fired.  the solution is clear.. except for the disinformation.. lies and spam from the for profit energy industrys trying to keep us in the energy stone age for bottom line profits that are destroying america.

a lot of people are in a depression now.. but.. the top 1% of americans are in a bull market.. trading your jobs and your industrys.. for stock profits... in the end tho they will probably just relocate to some island in the med.. while america goes up in flames.

so there's no depression for some people.. just the american workers.

  2. yes. we've been heading that way for a while.

i seriously don't believe either John McCain

or Barack Obama is going to fix this country.

maybe Sarah Palin, she's someone who can

    run this country.

maybe John McCain should win so if he

"kicks the bucket" then Palin can be in.

    =)

  3. Yes, if the Republicans are able to continue their policies; but, it probably won't be as bad as the Great Depression on account of the New Deal Reforms of the Roosevelt Era.

  4. Only if Mccain is elected.

  5. No.

  6. No, but I do like Billy B's answer.

  7. We lost another 84,000 jobs in August. It's quite possible. We are spending like money is abundant. It is for some but not for all. The car companies in Detroit want $25 billion in subsidized loans from the U.S. It's their fault for not keeping up with the times. They think they know better than the consumers. I am against it. They should pay for their arrogance. The consumer is right.

edit: We are giving $1 billion in aid to Georgia. (the country)

edit: We need to pay for damage from Hurricane Gustav. We have more hurricanes heading our way.

  8. Yes but I doubt you will see what we saw back in the 20's and early 30's.

  9. only if Obama is elected

  10. Well I think recession has reached your shores already, the next stage is depression which need not happen if Americans would just start buying "American" produced goods. In fact if only you Yanks would do that in big enough numbers the recession would disappear also and the unemployment figures would drop dramatically.

  11. I really wish you liberals would shut up about this....the economy is in great shape unemployment is lower than it was in the 90's the economy grew 3.3 % last quarter the economy is in great shap look at everything not jsut the **** the media is feeding you

  12. Yes.At this point we are heading into a mess,84,000 jobs lost in August.
