Do you think the Yankees are done?

I'm a fanatical Yankees fan and I never give up hope but, ehhhhhh, its not looking good. Tampa and Boston are two really good teams, not saying we're not a really good team, but injuries have killed this team. A lack of clutch hitting as well.

But you never give up. Especially when your a Yankees fan. Brett Favre is great and everything and I'm looking foreward to many wins this season with him, the Rangers look good too (I wont even say the Knicks), but theres still a baseball season to be played.

The Rays will win the division and the Twins will steal the wild card. This will leave the Sox and Yankee fans on the outside. The guard is changing. .No Sox no Yanks. Sorry.

Not enough Starting Pitching.  When Pettite and Mussina are your go to guys you have a problem.  Joba being hurt doesnt help and Wang being out just kills the yankees.  Wang is their only quality starter and Joba was getting there, but this injury sets him and the team back.  

The Red Sox and Rays are both playing some of their best baseball of the year and are deep with talent so I do think this is the year the yankees don't make it to the playoffs.

yes the yankees are done. they just do not have the starting pitching. mike mussina has been a godsend. with out him you would be in even worse shape.

well i cant wait for hockey season either. Lets Go Rangers. Markus Naslund will have a great year.

Until the Yankees are mathematically eliminated from play off race, they are not done.  It may be tough to do, but I faith that the Yankees find a way to make play offs

It would be hypocritical of me to say they are done, because I'm still hanging on to hope for the Rockies (While Yanks have a better record, both Rox and Yanks are 7 GB in thier division).

I think you never give up, as a true fan, until they are actually eliminated. It's alot more do or die now, but there are still 40+ games and a month and a half left so it's not done yet.

The Yankees are done.  They have no pitching and you won't go anywhere without pitching.  As shown today, their starters are questionable and their bullpen is thin (at best).  I think their season is essentially over.

I think the Twins will win the AL Central, leaving either the White Sox or the Red Sox as your Wild Card and I think the Red Sox will be the Wild Card.  Clearly the Angels have the AL West, and I think the Rays will be the AL East champs.

There is a mexican guy on the Yankees triple a. If they bring him up and they have Phil Hughes who might do really good. You can never count out the Yankees. But everything has to work out perfectly for the Yankees to make the playoffs.

I not a Yankees fan at all, but I've been watching baseball long enough to know better than to count them out until they are mathematically eliminated.

No. i dont think they are done. Im being a little optimisitic being a huge yanks fan. But seriously they have been in this spot before, and then rolled into boston and clinched the division or wild card, which this could be another year for that. If they keep it close they will have a chance at the end of the season cause they play the red sox. But they need to do something about the rotation. The bullpen is starting to collapse again, if they can get everything straight they might be able to make a late run. You cant count them out with Jeter knowing that this is the last year in Yankee Stadium and him never missing a postseason, i see him stepping up. And they are playing the angels right now prob the best team in baseball. Then the twins which they are doing quite well against this year so i think they will pick up ground against the twins.

Yeah I think they are done, and I am not saying that because I am a Red Sox fan.  I think they are done because Chamberlin in on the DL, and a few of your other good players are also on the DL.  This is not the best time to be on the DL either seeing as we are getting closer and closer to the playoffs.

In my personal opinion the Yankees have had and still have too many injuries, and it will cost them to miss the playoffs this year.
