  1. Yes.

    No.

    The A-R-K yes.

The other one is in Ethiopia.

  2. Why would the Israelites have left the Ark (that's the spelling) there after lugging it all around the desert? I hadn't realized Armenians think its theirs, but why not? Seriously, were it ever found, it would, hopefully, be considered an artafact  of world cultural heritage and maintained under the protection of the U.N. It would be, after all, a holy relic for the world's three principal monotheistic religions.

For it's location (if it's not mythical) see the below, from Wikipedia.

  3. If you are a true christian...you would believe that its there...its part of our religion, after all Noah took his instructions from GOD...Mt Ararat ...was always part of Armenian history, for those who dont know the history ...plerase read below.

Mount Ararat (39°42′N, 44°17′E)Coordinates: 39°42′N, 44°17′E The Mountains of Ararat is the place named in the Book of Genesis where Noah's ark came to rest after the great flood (Genesis 8:4). Abrahamic tradition associates the mountains of Ararat with Mount Ararat in Turkey located 750 miles (1200 kilometers) northeast of Jerusalem. Mount Ararat was, for many centuries, part of the Armenian states, it eventually fell into the hands of the Ottoman Empire and later the Persian Empire (Iran). After the Russo-Persian War, 1826-1828 and the Treaty of Turkmenchay it was incorporated into the Russian Empire as part of the Armenian Oblast and later the Erivan Governate. After World War I, it came under the administration of the Democratic Republic of Armenia as part of the Ararat province but was ceded to Turkey by the Soviet Union in the Treaty of Kars.

    [edit] Background

Historians have long sought to corroborate the biblical reference to the "mountains of Ararat" with Mount Ararat, or to ascertain the actual location of the mountains mentioned in the account. The Book of Jubilees specifies that the Ark came to rest on one of the peaks of the "Mountains of Ararat" called "Lubar".

Some have sought to connect the name "Ararat" with ancient states in the area such as Urartu, and the even older "Aratta" found in Sumerian records. These cultures were centered around Mount Van in Armenia during Biblical times (currently in Turkey). Mount Ararat has the distinction of holding this tradition among its surrounding cultures for centuries, and is also geographically within ancient Urartu, giving it the most legitimate potential claim as the Biblical Ararat. However, the Biblical account could plausibly have been intended refer to any of the mountain ranges associated with Urartu.

Other potential Ararat candidates have been proposed over the millennia at locales as widely distributed as Ethiopia, Ireland, and Iran.

The Latin Vulgate says "requievitque arca [...] super montes Armeniae", which means literally "and the ark rested [...] on the mountains of Armenia", which was corrected to "... mountains of Ararat" (montes Ararat) in the Nova Vulgata (New Vulgate

  4. No and because

  5. My guess is that you are thinking of the "Noah's Ark". The boat that Noah built to save his family and many species of animals when the floods covered the Earth.  I believe that If the Ark came to rest on Mt. Ararat, that it may have been covered over by a glacier.  If and when it is actually located, I guess it would belong to the country where it has come to rest.

  6. Parev (good morning),The Ark is known throughout the world that it's on Mt.Ararat, but actually, the Persians too claimed to be theirs.Like in  many world inheritages, somebody would claim that it's his.I say that it belongs to History of humanity, though first of course to Haik, but let the Ark be there.

Soon we may need lots of arks due to the ocean water that is increasing!.

    INFORMATIONS ARE INFORMATIONS,KNOWLEDGE IS DIFFERENT.

iF YOU HAVE KNOWLEDGES,YOU CAN REALLY BUILD SOMETHING FOR MANKIND.

  7. Mt. Ararat is where Noah's ark landed after the waters fell.

The Ark of the Covenant was stolen by the n***s before a dashing young American archeologist-adventurer recovered it.

Or its in Ethiopia. My fav. theory at least.

  8. First of all, we don't think its the arc of the covenant thats on Ararat, but NOAH'S ARK. I do think NOAH'S ARK is in Ararat. I'm Armenian, and we believe we are the direct descendants of Noah. According to our legends, his great-grandson, Haik, stayed in the region and became the patriarch of Armenians. ...but like a lot of people mentioned, its not just Armeninas, lots of groups believe its up there.
