Yea, the Aztecs were aware of the tribes of the united states like Casa Grandes so they must have known about the incas

  1. The Aztecs (including the Toltecs) were centered in Valley of Mexico from about 1170 to 1530.

The Incas, centered originally in Peru from about 1435 to 1535.

The Aztec merchant class (called pochtecas) did travel into South America, but there is little evidence of artifacts that they specifically traded with the Incas.

The Inca road system is usually stated to run from Quito, Ecuador to Santiago, Chile.  There is some evidence that the Incas traded at least north into Columbia and perhaps farther.

  2. They were only separated by a few hundred miles.  They probably sent messengers across the narrow isthmus of Panama but never interacted directly.  The Inca seem to have been quite isolated in the high mountains but their empire stretched over a thousand miles.  They must have been aware of each other.
