  1. No....

  2. \When it goes back up and stronger than ever I want to rub your nose in this post But you well claim you never said it

We have been trying to get China to raise the value of the yuan why unless you  travel, which i don't think you do,it's not to important with the exception of gas which is imported Why is it imported ask your party

  3. Could go even lower, as long as Republicans are in power.

  4. I would like the first answer to realize that ever since the Democrats took control of Congress, the economy has been declining.

And I don't know if we'll go as low as the Peso.  But just in case..

"Senor, cuantos pesos son un dollar?"

Could be worse.  Some African country (Zimbabwee?) just released a 100 billion dollar bill.

  5. To better answer the question, let's structure the question a bit differently.

Let's say that a loaf of bread costs $3.00. If we take $3.00 and exchange it for the equivalent in pesos, can we buy a loaf of bread with it in Mexico? Right now, it will buy several loaves, but in the future it's possible that it could take more than $3.00 to buy a loaf of bread in Mexico.

As for Ray N.'s sad statement, yes, Bush is trying to get China to unattach the yuan from the dollar, which would cause the value of the yuan to rise. The problem with that, Ray, is that most of our goods are manufactured there, so this would cause U.S. prices to rise substantially. With this dramatic rise in inflation the Federal Reserve would boost interest rates over 10% (they raised it to 18% in the late 70s), which would further cripple the housing market, as well as crippling consumer spending on most things, including cars and most other higher priced items usually purchased with some type of financing, including credit cards. This would sink the economy into a depression.

Bush is an idiot. Thank god the Chinese haven't followed his orders.

  6. That would be highly unlikely.  It would take a monumental collapse in the US market plus an array of other factors in the rest of the global exchanges for the US dollar to sink to the level of the peso.  On the bright side (from an isolationist perspective), it would certainly lead to a sharp decline in immigration as Mexicans and those from other third world nations would have little incentive to enter the country for work.  There would be no benefit for them in the exchange rate.  LOL

  7. It already is..most people don't know it nor do they understand it yet.  Monetary Policy is a complicated issue

  8. no

  9. Sure - right before we switch to the amero.

  10. lol trust me tht ll neevr happen
