  1. No, it should not be lowered.  It does nothing for the well-being of anyone... Except for one-glass-of-wine-a-day is suppose to be good for the heart :)

And not weird at all for not wanting to drink.

  2. no

  3. the age should definitly not be lowerd. and it's not wierd at all to choose not to drink.

  4. It used to be 18, then when I turned 18, they changed it to 19 and I was good for a few months then they changed it to 21 and I had to wait a year to legally drink again.  But I will tell you this, no law ever kept me from having a drink when I wanted one!  So, I would say that no matter what age the law requires, people will always drink when they want to.

  5. I believe that having a set age for allowing drinking is a flawed system, but given that it would be nearly impossible to implement other types of systems (such as rating people's tolerance levels, self control abilities, etc) it seems that it is the best method.  That said, yes I believe the drinking age should be lowered to 18; but the driving allowance should stay the same at no tolerance until 21 years of age.  No offense to 18-20 year old people, I was there not too long ago, but there should be a zero tolerance for young drivers at only 18-20 years old having any alcohol in their system.  Why should it be lowered to 18?  Because then it would not be taboo to talk about it with those kids and an 18 year old wouldn't fear getting medical attention or contacting parents if they have drank too much and/or endangered themselves while drinking (would you rather your daughter called you or go home with the older guys who got them drunk?) .  These kids will drink anyways if they have the desire to, so why not keep it as safe as possible.

  6. Honestly, lowering the drinking age is not a good idea if you ask me.

  7. NO and this is coming from a person that had her parents killed by a  19 yr old drunk  driver There a far too may DRUNKS  period out on the road, we dont need anymore young people that havent  figured out what they are going to do with their life, be allowed to go to a bar, and or purchase alcohol... And no I applaud you for choosing not to if thats what you want...

  8. I've always thought if you're old enough to fly a bomber loaded with nuclear weapons.. you should be old enough to drink.

And no, I don't find it weird for somebody to choose not to drink.

  9. A person who makes a decision to consume alcoholic beverages should be mature enough to know when to quit (before they get themselves into trouble due to intoxication).

Most young people are not yet mature enough to make that decision and stick to it.

No, I do not think the drinking age should be lowered.

  10. Nope,it should be raised....booze is a killer in many different ways and a waste of money.

  11. Yeah, it should be lowered to 19.  I'd say 18, but there are too many high school seniors that would get it and bring it to parties where there are 15 and 16 year olds.  Besides, when you look back, half the fun of drinking in high school was finding ways to get the alcohol.  Scoring a case when you were a sophomore in high school...oh, what a feeling!

  12. I think the drinking age should be raised. It's 19 here and we're close to the border and have a lot of children who don't have the judgment to know when to stop or how to handle themselves - and there are adults who are like that as well but more children. When people are bragging about how they lie in wait for fights downtown, you know they're far too young.

  13. Well it's 18 where i live but i think it should be 16.
