In secret high-level meetings involving himself and a mirror, Commissioner Bud Selig and his reflection (they both raised their hands at the same time) decided to award the New York Yankees a trip to the World Series this season, even if they finish dead last or "opt out" of Major League Baseball.  Selig confirmed this with Red Sox manager Terry Francona, who has mysteriously not complained about this fix.

The Yankees have been ordered to hit every ball in fair territory, past all fielders, and have been ordered to catch everything that comes their way.  They also have been ordered not to injure themselves, as this could jeopardize their ability to fulfill the fix.

Opposing teams have all been ordered to roll over and give up, as the Boston Red Sox successfully did this week.  In another development, the Tampa Bay Rays appear to not be following the commissioner's directions, so Selig has hired Enforcement Specialist Chuck Norris to, in Selig's words, "send a message" to the Rays.

Norris initially planned on delivering a trademark roundhouse kick to the Rays organization at Tropicana Field, but decided against this method, for fear that it would destroy the state of Florida, its citizens, and manatees, as an undesired effect.

Sorry, not even a Mets fan like me could resist this one.  I can't stand the Yankees myself, but this has nothing to do with any fix.  And to prove it, keep in mind that I have denied the involvement of Chuck Norris, and have still lived long enough to post this.  But wait, I think he's coming now, I'd better submit before he pulls the plug on this comput

Oh yea exactly. And the fix has started now. That is why the Yanks have won two in a row against the Red Sox. It is all a conspiracy theory. It has nothing at all to do with the talent the Yanks have.

Come on. What kind of dumb garbage is this? If the Yankees win, it's because they're a talented team and won a tough division and beat out some talented competition in the playoffs. End of story.

FYI: The red sox won the world series in the last 25 years as much as the toronto blue jays and the twins have.   I doubt they will have many more.
