  1. No.

  2. I do think that it has something to do with the water tides. But I don't think it has something to do with the earthquake.

  3. The amount of light from the moon reflected from the sun and visible on earth couldn't possibly have any effect on any earthquake!

  4. No correlation has ever been found between moon phase and earthquake activity.

    NO effect.

  5. No.  First of all, a "full" Moon is not the same as a "waxing gibbous."

If the Moon did have some causal influence on today's mid-west earthquakes, then why was there no earthquake there last month, or every previous month for that matter?

Also, since the Earth spins one complete rotation in 24 hours underneath the full moon, there is no reason to think that the Moon's gravity could have such an effect on one particular place and not others.  In fact, every part of the Earth gets to experience a full, or nearly full, Moon every month - so there's nothing special about the mid-west today.

    It's the definition of coincidence.

  6. Im sure it did, because I watchs the full moon each month and before I went to bed last nite, I saw the moon and it had mysterious look to it,  as thou it was hiding something. It didnt have its usual shining glow.I knew when I felt the quake that the moon had something to do with it. I live in St. Louis, Mo.

  7. No
