  1. Yes lets blame the gaming industry.  What about the parents that just let their kids sit and play games for hours and hours?  I blame parents.


  2. I think it's the parents.  If you want to go out and buy Grand Theft Auto for your 15 year old and let him play it 6 hours a day, sure.   But then don't run around complaining about how your child won't shut up about mugging people.

    Also, it's not the whole gaming industry.  It's the ratings.  No one looks at ERSB ratings anymore.  Mature games are mature for a reason.  They're for people 17 and up.  And everyone wonders why Little Johnny thinks it's cool to shout out obscenities and talk about ripping someones innards out.

    I think gaming in moderation, and being able to realize that what you are playing is a game and nothing to live or act by, you should be OK.  But parents are too busy buying mature rated games because they're the hottest ones out and giving it to their kids, nevermind what they might see in the game.
