  1. No. Gas prices are effected by the economy. Gas prices surged when our economy began to struggle. The value of the American dollar dropped causing an increase in the price of just about everything to make up for the difference. The price of the dollar rose recently and so gas prices dropped again.

    The more money you soak into the economy the better the chances of the dollar increasing and gas prices lowering. The stimulus checks were basically a way of giving Americans money to push back into the economy and boost it up.

  3. no, spending more money on gas drives the price up since there is more demand, the announcement (by republicans btw) of drilling in our own country and getting our own oil drove it down along with us using less. u want lower gas prices? vote mccain...
