As a poor, and i mean poor college student I'm seriously going crazy over these gas prices.

It's gettin' to the point where i'm havin' anxiety attacks.

Our economy sucks so bad and i think that the gas prices are the main reason. I'd have sooo much money if i had money for gas.

Do you think they'll keep going higher or eventually go down.. like after the election or so?

  1. probley not I bought a motorcycle  to combat high gas prices. What pathetic thou is that even thou I got a 650cc motorcycle I use less gas and less money and becuase of that I  ride more like I use to ride my car when gas was just over 1 dollar .And because of that I still only save 50%in fuel costs.   If I rode my motorcycle as little as I did my car I should be saving around65 to 70% more in fuel costs.

I think thats one reason why oil companies aren't bringing prices down becuase if they were selling it for a dollar a gallon then everyone would drive more and then buy more bu the oil companies would see that lowering gas prices would just make them have to work harder for what there already aremaking just sitting on there *** and jacking the prices up!

  2. Honestly, ive been keeping up with the news and I think that the prices will stop rising, im mean like awhile from now, but they probably wont go down and if it does it wont be by much. I feel you about the stress. The gas is ridiculous.

  3. im pretty sure there gonna stay up for awhile.

    but eventually they'll go down

  4. The long term path for gas prices is up unless  new reserves are found which is unlikely. However there is seasonal variations in demand so when summer ends the price will probably fall a little bit. We  are headed for a time when poor college students  can not afford to drive a car, but that has been true for most of the past in the US and is true for most countries in the world today. Here is a graph of what things people use to live without and when they got them.

The high prices for gas  will reduce our standard of living somewhat but is not the end of civilization  and is not worth an anxiety attack
