....because they think "Who would believe it??" I think they count on this. Otherwise....wouldn't they be confronting these people who are disclosing so much to the public? Why do you think they aren't answering these people?

  1. Yes, I agree the government doesn't worry about UFO disclosures. Largely what you have is personal testimony of individuals. OK, so they are willing to testify before congress under oath. Are they willing to take polygraph test? Granted these are not 100% but they are more accurate than a person just taking an oath.

None of the witnesses have ever managed to smuggle out photos, video tape, a piece of unusual metal, etc. that would provide hard evidence. Granted at these installations security would be extreme and this would be difficult but still this is likely to be taken more seriously than personal testimony.

I don't think even an investigation could be justified without some claim say like personal injury. For example an employee at Area 51 filed a complaint with the EPA for his exposure to improperly stored substances. This went to federal court and ultimately the EPA was not allowed to inspect the base but the USAF was ordered to take care of it themselves.

Stanton Friedman, regardless of anyone's opinion about his work on UFO's, has used the court system and the Freedom of Information Act (it took the courts to make agencies comply) to obtain many documents on UFO reports.

  2. I do not think the government will loose any sleep over this. Some of the UFO disclosures are fake anyway. The government over the years has had plenty of experience fooling people, telling lies and dishing out tonnes of disinformation to not only confuse people but to create a cloud of ridicule around those people who believe in UFOs and aliens. They government has caused theses people to be looked apon as idiots or mental cases. That's exactly what they want most people to believe about UFOs and aliens.A idiot subject. Those people are nuts.Do not listen to them. They need medical treatment.Lock them up in the mental asylum. The truth is aliens do exist and when they finally turn up in 2012 the egg will be on the government face instead.I cannot wait until that day.

  3. "Disclosures" is the wrong word.  The word you're looking for is "fabrications".  Governments aren't worried about them, and neither am I.

  4. I think it's because the government has much more to worry about that really CAN happen (the economy, terrorism, energy, etc.) instead of dedicating any time to reports of UFOs that may or may not exist.

Also, parapsychologists do not study UFO reports. UFOs don't have anything to do with parapsychology. This is better placed in the Paranormal category.

  5. If the government didn't hide or conceal any 'men from mars', even the most strict of skeptics may have a second thought. Second thoughts are what create revolution and take overs.

I don't think our government (the U.S.) or any other, is willing to jeopardize the other secrets and conspiracies in the making, when they can hide the truth.

  6. The government does not care. Who was the politician running for president who claimed he saw a UFO (not flying saucer), he was short with dark hair, I think Vigo Morrison endorsed him. He made himself look like an idiot as anyone else would with such a claim. So why would the government need to care?

EDIT: Jimmy Carter is a complete nutcase and disgrace. I was thinking of a politician that ran to be on the presidential ticket but lost, it was this year. My point was anyone that makes UFO claims, whether true or false, loose their creditability.
