In the 1930's germany and the united states were doing this to what they considered undesireables. They used casteration and sterilization. In vermont they were targeting native american women. sad but true could it happen again?

  1. What you are referring to is called "Eugenics." I don't think it would happen in the Unites States for the same reasons stated above. And, believe it or not, the US doesn't have a population problem, we are barely procreating enough to "replace" ourselves. Broken down, whites are not procreating enough, but Hispanics are filling the void.

Most European countries and Japan are actually running a deficit. Africa and Asia are a different matter, unfortunately. It is very possible that practices like forced sterilization and abortion could happen in these countries since they have weaker governments and little regard for human rights. Human population is only one side of the coin. Human consumption of resources is where we are really getting ourselves into trouble.

  2. I think the ACLU would never let it happen.

But I do wish fewer people would have children.

  3. Only the stupid ones.

  4. I think that, if the population keeps expanding at this rate (and if no major disasters befall us), then the government will eventually start sterilizing children.

  5. I think there are too many civil rights watchdogs in the U.S. to allow that to happen. If that doesn't stop the government, goddess help us all!

  6. Should only happen with prison inmates of a certain level and more... Well, those that will see the light of day again. No need to do it to those that will never leave.

  7. Who knows if they will but, if they do what will they lose in the process? What if Einstein's dad has been castrated? I could keep going with this but, I won't. I am unfamiliar with the U.S. practicing this (or anything close to this) in the 30's.

  8. i hope not. They are our future
