Well if youre thinking that todays the independance day celebration then check your calander again you have the wrong weekend. Youre one weekend short. Its next weekend. Grocery stores are always busy on the weekend anyways because people wait until the weekend when they dont have to work or wait to pick up their kids from school.

Oh definitely super busy.  I would not want to be at the store today.  Everyone will be there getting ready for picnics and BBQs, camping, and parties.  Even if I did set foot into a store, the shelves would be about bare!  (So we ordered a delivery online, heh.)

If you're in the U.S next weekend is the long weekend and shame on you for not knowing when your country's birthday is ;)

In my area early Saturday is always busy at the store but it slows down later in the afternoon.

WHY is it a long weekend? ......4th of July weekend is NEXT weekend!   Or, are you Canadian (isn't Canada Day July 1?)?.....    The weekends are ALWAYS crowded!  That's why I never go to the grocery store on the weekend
