With gas prices like they are, do you think the horse and buggy will make a comeback? In times like these, the Amish look really smart.

  1. Not a chance. Can you imagine the road congestion? Road apples everywhere!

  2. The price of oats and hay are going up too and ferriers aren't cheap either. A horse is a high maintenance animal.

  3. duuuuude.

not unless we make it come back.

and someone can find enough horse pooper scoopers for everyone.

except, knowing america, the wheels will probably have spinners or something g*y like that.

    what a good idea.

  4. i live in ny my boyfriend in pa in lancaster county pa where the dutch amish populate... they have horse and buggys w/blinkers... they use the same roadways regular cars do and we have to wait for them

  5. Not a chance, the Amish are suffering as well. I live right in Lancaster, PA with two horses of my own. Hay prices right now are going through the roof. We're lucky if we can find bales of hay for $10 a piece (1 bale lasts about 1-2days in the summer, obviously they eat more of it n the winter)  Plus, you would need at least 2-3 horses(good buggy horse costs 2K) as they would each need days off, and buggy's aren't cheap (6-12k here). Then you have farrier, vet, and dentist bills for your horse. Sure you might save some money, but not enough to make a huge difference.

    It's a lose-lose situation.

  6. the horse and buggy was like, an olden days car that was just stuck in the past.

  7. I saw a trolley on the News in downtown Manhattan so anything's possiable.......Blessings Yahoo
