  1. Forever is a very long time.

I think that humans will eventually get it and realize what's important, allowing them to survive longer. But forever? Unlikely.

  2. we may not know the answer to that question... but i think our race can live for a few more thousand years......    we will do everything to try and survive as long as we can

  3. no we will be knocked out of orbit

  4. No, we will be lucky to go another 50 years!

  5. Well you asked a complicated question.

If you were to think that the world was going to end soon, the earth would be a depressing place. Again, the technology in todays society is rapidly progressing and who knows what we'll have in the next fifty years.

'Forever' is a a complex word. Nobody can answer this question with being sure. Who knows what the world could throw at us next? But I believe that we are put on this earth to tackle the pain and suffering life throws at us. I believe that we will get back up again.

I believe that we are underestimating the human race. You'd be surprised what we are capable of when the survival instinct kicks in. Why am I putting my faith into humanity? Because I must.

I think that technology could prevent a lot of disasters from taking place or at least reduce their destruction. I didn't place my faith into humanity, the purpose of living would be very, very oblique.

Maybe the human race will not live forever but if we were to worry about every minuter of our lives- what boring and depressing lives we would live in.

I believe the human race will survive the same way I believe the sun will rise each day.

  6. Forever is a very long time, in fact you can't even call forever a long time because the word "long" suggest something relative or measurable, which eternity obviously isn't since by definition it has no beginning or end. No humans will not live forever, even if we live in perfect balance with the earth and all get along for the next 5 billion years, the sun will supernova and and turn the earth into a giant rotisserie. And even if we escape the earth and move to another planet like earth elsewhere, that sun will eventually meet the same fate. All the stars in the universe will eventually die and with it all life. What comes after that, who knows. Even if it takes billion upon billions of years for the universe to die, it eventually will. And no human will escape that.

  7. Nope!

haha this has been the easiest question in yahoo answers!

  8. However wonderful it would be if humans could live forever there are countless things preventing this. the first one that comes to mind is the death of the sun in a few billion years next come things like overpopulation, famine, disease, asteroid impacts, gamma ray bursts, rogue black holes, ecosystem collapse, evolving into a new species, bio-tech disaster, global war, robots taking over, mass insanity, alien invasion, divine intervention, and my personal favorite someone wakes up and realizes it was all a dream. So no matter how small a chance of all of those separately when combined we die. But if by some miracle we can manage to overcome ALL of those obstacles or if some never happen there is still no way we could live forever because the universe will eventually end some ways are all the matter spreading out all the stars dieing and no life supporting materials will exist, another possibility is that gravity overcomes other forces and pull all material back to the "center" of the universe creating an infinitely hot infinitely small ball of matter that will explode due to unknown causes creating another big bang but then the chances of humans existing again exactly from where they stopped is incalculably small that it basically will never happen so finally. No there is no physically possible way for the human race to live forever.

  9. Definitely not.  I'd like to see you survive getting sucked into a black hole.

  10. we'll kill each other long before any threat of meteor or alien invasion comes.

personally i think if there are aliens theyve formed some kinda UN and have a big blockade around our solar system to cut us off from the universe cos were so nasty and violent :D

  11. ill kill u and ur dreams tonight, begin new life...

  12. Nothing lasts forever.  Nothing.

  13. Possible - but unlikely. Something can always go wrong, and forever is a very long time.

One day, it will hit us.

  14. All things are possible for the ingenious creative mind. However, there simply isn't enough of them to go around.

Yes, theoretically speaking, there's a way for intelligent consciousness to live forever.  The first step toward mastering the universe is to first master our own biology.

  15. No. The theory is that the universe won't live forever, so how could the human race...

  16. no because of the occurence of natural calamities that are uncotrolled

  17. The human race like any other intelligent, technological alien society has a maximum age of some where around 350 to 500 years.

We have used up about 100 years of our time.
