Question:

Do you think the judges are favoring China to win more gold medals?

As I watched the men and women's gymnastics the last two nights I saw a pattern of partial judging favoring the Chinese teams. I'm not saying the Chinese gymnasts didn't deserve the Gold medals for their performances but other countries were not judged consistently, like the US. The US men's team was not scored equally for their "risky" and well performed bar routines. The women were not scored or penalized equally for their beam performances. The USA outperformed the Chinese hands down on the beam, even with the falls by both teams. Am I really the only one who saw this? What other events are the judges favoring China?

  1. i agree

i didnt think that the judging was all that far cuz no offense but it looked like the u.s. on beams did a lot more diffucult routines than the chinese now dont get me wrong they were both really amazing but when it came down too it the u.s. got penalized more even makenin the same mistakes the chinese did

    so i agree with you

  2. Definitely I saw that too where the Chinese men and "girl" gymnasts made fractional or whole point mistakes in their routines and apparatuses, but when they got scored, they received full credit!  The USA team did the technical stuff, plus more difficult moves, but did not get the credit they deserved.

I sent an e-mail of complaint to the IOC pointing out that they let "children" younger than age 15 compete, their judges probably were disciplined or "influenced" by the communist "secret police" before the competition in order to gain favor for Chinese over everyone else in scoring and that being a host country does not give you a free pass to cheat and ignore the rules.

  3. Of course they are!

I think they are being really unfair to britian and the usa.

I wouldnt be surprised if they are bribing the judges.

  4. With all the other interesting things the Chinese are doing, it seriously would not surprise me at all lol! I mean, just look at the way they treated that little girl in the opening cerimony.. but then again, I don't know. We might just be over reacting!

  5. i agree with u all but watch some american haters come in here and say we wine or say were doping like they do with micheal phelps.i told ya they would bring up doping.if it werent for bill gates you people in foreign countries could keep your opinions to yourselves cause you lack common sense.i like poppy:)

  6. no.

alicia sacremone fell off the beam and that was already a big mistake if it hadnt been for shawn johnson, also they did pretty bad in floor.

i didnt watch much of the mens, but i know that the chinese girls were much better in performance and such and deserved that gold medal

  7. Yes they are because they always have to be the best. I loved it when we brits beat them in Badminton for the gold yesterday. I also think the chinese and americans and germans are all taking performance enhanceing drugs because there beating us in the medals table.

  8. That's exactly what home court advantage is supposed to do.

  9. I seem to have lost trust on China.

Even in Boxing, I think the Chinese boxer wasn't that very good, yet, he outscored GBR!

  10. No. It's an international panel. After the Winter Olympics scandal, this stuff is heavily regulated. It's funny that we're so quick to think of all of these conspiracy theories with other countries like China, yet refuse to believe that the United States can do no wrong. It really is a double-standard.

But I understand the sentiment. When my favorite NBA, NFL, MLB team loses, the first thing I look for is a bad call by a referee. And if you look hard enough, you'll always find one.
