  1. Governor Palin discussed many important issues about the economy and energy. This idea that republicans are avoiding issues is an Obama talking point that has no merit. They just have different ideas about the issues. So of course the republicans are not mimicking Obama's disastrous plans. And because they have different ideas, the democrats pretend not to hear them.

  2. I think Palin gave Obama alot to come back at

    Example are her and Rudy G's mocking about Community Organizers.

    I read this about a good comback. Makes sense

    A community organizer

    is the guy who kept the toxic waste dump out of your city;

    is the lady who took on the drug dealers in your neighborhood and chased them off the streets so your kids can walk to school in safety;

    is the fellow who turned a vacant lot in your neighborhood into ten beautiful baseball fields and soccer fields;

    is the young girl who lead a peer campaign in her school to end the vandalism of cemeteries and churches in your town;

    is the woman who cut teen pregnancy in half in your county;

    is the man who lead a campaign to organize volunteer adult education classes that taught English to hundreds of new Americans, and slashed the unemployment rate in his community.

    Obama was proud to be a community organizer in Chicago twenty years ago; and is proud to stand with these great Americans today.  The men and women standing behind Obama  are the backbone of America.   When Obama is president, He will be calling on them, and thousands of others to help bring changes from the bottom up, not the top down.

    Obama  worked hard for the people of Chicago’s South Side, and these people are working hard for their your communities today.   We’re not going to stop.  But John McCain and Sarah Palin are deeply out of touch.   It takes more than a few folksy sayings and cheap cracks to show you understand what drives regular folks across this country.  Americans are tired of smug insults and ugly, divisive,  negative attacks from the phonies on the extreme right.

  3. whatever. ..i listened to obama and heard absolutely no substance, other than to say he would eliminate capital gains tax for small business. that is a fraud. i own a small business and have never paid 1 cent in capital gains. you would have to be a fool if u did as a small business owner. outside of that he just said i will give money to everyone. laughable.

  4. As a republican, I have been pretty embarassed with the RNC thus far.  I hope McCain delivers some specifics on his economic and foreign policy plans and lays off attacks like Palin's "community organizer" jab.

  5. No.

  6. They can't run on the issues. Typical RNC when the truth won't fit your distorted view, lie.

  7. It will be good for the republicans politically.  Democrats can easily make the point that the nation was on the right track during the 90's and Bush squandered the working economy and international prestige Americans enjoyed during that time.  The republicans cannot talk about the stewardship of the economy during Republican tenure so they are forced to ridicule (and lie) about Obama's record and achievements

  8. Rick Davis of McCain's campaign claimed this election will be about personalities rather than issues.  Guess you run on what you've got.  Oops!
