  1. I don't think Lo Duca will make a great difference but the Marlins are in contention in the NL east anyway. The fish should be considered a threat in the east.

  2. The trade deadline is over, but that doesn't mean teams can't still trade. The players just have to pass through waivers before they can be traded.

I think Lo Duca would not be a huge upgrade for the Marlins. Not only that, but, Lo Duca plays for the Nationals whom are in the same division as the Marlins. How often do you see a trade between divisional teams?

  3. LoDuca was just released by the Gnats. Now, you can probably better understand why Minaya didn't want to bring him back last year.

    I think he's finished...

  4. They should pick him up. He won't hurt them. I just don't think that the Marlins will have enough to stay with the Phillies and Mets.

  5. There's a good possibility.

I doubt and average player like Lo Duca will help them into serious contention.

It's good for the Marlins, but its not game changing.

  6. it would probably be a good deal for them to get lo duca, but i don't really think it's going to help them all that much...they could use some help at catcher, but i don't think it's going to be a major difference, especially considering that lo duca has been known to fade away in the second half of the season

  7. the trade deadline is over. maybe next year tho.
