Do you think the media favors Shawn Johnson over Nastia Liukin?

It seems like they were almost disappointed when Nastia won over Shawn.

Yeah Shawn is America's little sweetheart. She always smiles and has great sportsmanship. She is also rather cute.

yes they favor shawn more because she has high expectations, and she  is more social. i would think that they would like nastia more though, cuz her dad was a gold medalist in gymnastics, and she won the all around.

Well Shawn was the favorite and the hometown darling. Whereas many were quick to point out that Nastia is actually Russian born. Doesn't matter to me though, they were both awesome and I'm proud that they represented the US.

Media will always play favorites.  Same thing applies to Tiger Woods.  I guess it is sad as media is supposed to be fair and unbiased, at least that's what they keep on saying about their own profession.

Probably.  Shawn Johnson just has a more outgoing, television-friendly personality.

I think Shawns more Marketable and her Likeability Factor is much Higher.  Nastia barely cracked a smile and when she did it seemed forced.

Yeah, i favor Shawn because she is a "daredevil with a smile" Nastia is OK but she is really serious....but i guess thats what it takes for a gold!
