  1. The monarchy has no leaning towards either parties. They do like politicians who fawn over and suck up to them. But in the royal view of things, anyone outside the family is small and insignificant.

As the royal family are alien shape-shifters, it has been their practice for many years to identify the persons of real power in every party, dispose of them and replace them with one of their own, conveniently having changed shape to one identical with the disposed person.

  2. The British royals have made a great deal of being 'apolitical' for many years now, but before the 1900s, the royals were unashamedly pro-conservative.

Without having any clue as to the Queen's *personal* politics, I find it hard to imagine that the traditional monarchy, church, bank and land owning establishment classes could be anything except conservative.

The very existence of the society in which they not only exist but exist successfully demands that conservatives values and a conservative world view prevail politically and socially.

    Cheers! :-)

  3. The monarch has no particular political leanings as they are a figurehead or constitutional monarch.

The last one who interfered too much in the rulings of parliament ended up starting the civil war and came to a sticky end.

Therefore the monarch supports whichever party has been elected and has no political agenda.

However, the main political parties are slightly nervous of Prince Charles as he has made no secret of his desire to influence certain aspects of governmental policies (to the advantage of the average Briton) regardless of who is in power, when he eventually becomes King.

  4. If only royalty could revert back to a full monarchy and those politicians could be put to the axe and off with their heads.

  5. Conservative, with the amount of money they have, the Labor party is not the party of choice.

  6. I don't think the queen cares one way or the other. She was very fond of Harold Wilson and hated Tony Blair. She totally disliked Edward Heath but was very fond of John Major.

  7. The basic tenets of the Labour Party make it impossible for the monarchy to support them.

  8. The monarchy must be, and must be seen to be, above politics. The Queen is required to be impartial, regardless of her personal opinion.

  9. I would think the Conservative party is more interested in preserving the different social ranks in society whereas the Labor party is the party representing the workers and the working class.

  10. Is there any dif

  11. They probably support whichever party is in power at the time.
