Do you think the name 'Ella' is TOO popular?

Question

I like the name Ella, but I am not sure about it. Maybe as a possible middle name... I have been hearing it quite a bit lately though, Is it very popular right now? Can you suggest something similar that you like? What are your thoughts on the name Ella in general? I am still trying to conceive with my husband, but we are picking names together while we wait (hopefully soon!). Thanks

I think it's classic. A lot of people may have it, but I still think it's great. Similiar names Stella, Bella, Elle, Belle, Isabella, Anabella, Arabella.

It is kind of popular right now.  I think it's cute (that's why I chose Ellie as my Y!A name.)  I don't think it will reach the same proportions as Jennifer and Sarah and Jessica as far as popularity goes, so I wouldn't worry about it much if you like it.

I don' t like it at all.....It is way too popular, yes!!  I'm not sure why?  

I knew an Ella in grade school.  She was arrogant and bossy.

I really like the name Ella, that's my niece's name!  I do think that it IS getting more popular, because it is a nice name after all! :)  It's popularity doesn't take away from it's charm though...
