I have always loved the name Connor, but worry about it becoming too popular.I have checked the Social Security list of top baby names for the past several years and it hasn't been on there!

  1. It is not overly popular.  It is a name that is not crazy weird but not 1 in 5 kids is named that either.  I think it has a nice balance.

  2. No I don't think it's too common at all. It's such a nice name. I would definitely name your son that. It's very classy. I only know one kid named Connor out of my whole school so, no it isn't super popular. I hope this helps. I think Connor Ryan, Connor Michael, or Connor Jackson are nice names. If you still thinks it is too popular try other variations of the name such as Conor or Conner.

  3. I'm starting to hear it a little more now but it's still not overly used. I think it's so cute.

  4. I love that name too. I dont think its popular, i dont know anybody named Connor.

  5. no i love that name for a boy

  6. Its been in the top 100 since 1992

Although, its not THAT popular. Last year it was ranked as #55 for boys in the US, with 8,239 baby boys being given that name. That might seem like lots, but it is actually only 0.3779%, or 1 in every 265 babies

  7. it is not that popular

  8. I think that the name Connor used to be common in the 1990's but it is not used as much anymore.

There are about 5 Connor's in my grade. But I have three younger brothers, and none of them have ever had a Connor in there class.

And even if Connor was still popular, you should name your kid what you want to name him. It is up to you after all.

    Hope I helped! :-)

  9. no, i work in a preschool, and in the past 8 years, i have only had 2 Connors, and i have 65 - 70 kids a year. nice name.

  10. It was #55 in 2007

so im guessing its not too common. my name was #29 and i only know like 1 other victoria.

  11. I don't think it's too popular! In fact, I really like the name. I think you should go for it!

  12. It may not be as popular as some names, but it is still popular and on the Social Security list.  For 2007 it is #55...and that is just for that spelling.  There are other ways to spell it too.  I love the name though.  In fact I am about to have a little girl and had she been a boy, her name would have been Connor.

  13. I think people spend too much time worrying about their baby's name being "unique" because then they all end up picking the same popular "unique" names. Example... lately I've seen

    Asher

    Ashlyn

    Karson

ALOT and everyone says "I love it, it's so unique" No, it's not because EVERYONE is using it.

If you like Connor then use it.
