  1. yes

  2. Not at all. It is a very cute name.

  3. no

  4. a little bit...it kinda looks like karen.

but that's not to say i don't like the name! it's growing on me!

  5. I like it. But, I'd spell it Kason.

  6. i do think it looks made up! just my opinion!

  7. Yes i do.

Made-up names sound trashy and lower-class.

Plus "kasen" sounds distinctly like "casing" - not a good choice.

Please choose a name with some historical or cultural background.

    Good luck

  8. If you look for Cason then i had a question on this name. I sort of made it up when thinking of boy names and really like it, but my boyfriend doesnt. so i like it, even if it does sound made up. at least its original

  9. It doesn't look particularly made up. It's a name that fits in with current naming trends (popular -en ending, popular 'kay' beginning, and a modern twist on the contemporary favourite Jason). However, you haven't added any random letter Y's in the name. For instance, If the name was spelt Kaysyn, then yes, I would automatically assume that it was a creative name of modern English origin.

There are quite a few different name meanings and origins for the name Kasen. Some sources suggest that it is a Latin name meaning 'protected with a helmet', others say it is a Scandinavian form of Catherine. However, the most reliable of the sources I've found (they are all listed in the 'source' section below) describes Kasen as a variant of the Jewish name Kassin.

  10. I actually like it and don't think it sounds made up.  I tried to combine three names and that was the name I came up with - but had to spell it Casen due to the names I was combining.  I then looked it up and realized it is actually a name!!

  11. I met a little boy named Kasen this summer, though I don't know how he spells it, and a I know a young woman of about 24 named Cason, so it's not made up, it's a legitimate name for both sexes.

  12. well it does, but it's cute! I've seen it spelled Cayson before, too.

  13. Yes I do.  It looks like you took Carson and Jason and mashed them together, then changed the C to a K.
