  1. no

  2. Its popular for a reason, its a beautiful name! If you've had your heart set on Lilly, then by all means, use it!

You could also use a name like Lilliana and then call her Lilly for short.

    Good luck!

  3. I am also in Aus and yes it has become very popular in recent years. I like the name Lillian better, because it can be shorterned to Lilly, and is not as popular as lilly on its own, and is still so pretty!

  4. If you opt to name her Lilly maybe spell it Lily instead.  I wouldn't name her Lillian though sorry I do not care for that name.

  5. No, I never knew one girl with that name. I think its so pretty!

  6. yes, it has become very popular. i work in a preschool, and we have had 6 Lillly's in the past 2 years. Lillian or Lilliana are better choices.

  7. I think it's a cute name but, it is too common.

  8. It is becoming very popular. There are 4 Lily's in my 3 year olds kindermusik class and my 4 year old had 2 in her preschool class. I know 9 Lily's that range in ages 3 mos.-7 yrs and one 82 yr old named Lily.

  9. i had a teacher that a daughter named lilly its not a name u hear everything but its cute

  10. yes but its a nice name

  11. i think it is a weird name for a person. we really wanted to name our dog that, but we have 2 cousins named Lily.

  12. no it's not to popular

and even if it is who cares

if you like it go with it

I think it is a really pretty name~!!!

  13. NO..

  14. i don't know but i like it

  15. It's getting there.  I wouldn't use it at this point, sorry.

In the US, the more common way to spell it is Lily.

In 2007, it was ranked the number 27 name out of the top 1000 girl names.  Just 10 years ago, it was less common at 219.  The name is more popular than it has ever been since the SSA started keeping tabs on names in 1880.

Add to that the popularity of the misspelled Lilly, and you can see that here in the US this is a very popular name indeed.  If you can check the statistics in Australia, it might help you make up your mind.

    Good luck!

By the way, you've misspelled the word "too" three times.

  16. Honestly, names like Lilly, Lila, Lillian, Lilliana, Lily, and Lilac all have seemed to become more common than ever. So to answer ur question I would have to say yes...heck i even have a cousin named Lillian.

  17. I think that it has gotten more popular. But not as popular. I think it is cute.
