I'd bet its only going to help Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac wich are goverment backed companies. It makes me wonder how much of their own money they have invested in these companies that have been taking from americans for years.

  1. Since the massive costs of this bailout fall on the taxpayers, and therefore require higher taxes, it will ultimately damage the economy far more severely than would letting Fannie & Freddie fail and letting non-paying homeowners lose their homes.

  2. I am not sure whether or not it will help the economy as whole.  But, I am praying that it will help me and other people like who may be having trouble making mortgage payments that are too high.

  3. no because it will put the weight of the problem on responsible homeowners through taxes. It should be on the agents who ripped people off and the banks for allowing it
