R.P.M. stands for "revolutions per minute" which is a term from auto mechanics and is probably meant to evoke the idea of racing. I've never really been a fan of any version of the Power Rangers, perhaps because they are re-invented so often.

No, I don't think so. I think the Power Rangers were over a long time ago. They just keep re-hashing the series and if I remember correctly there were 15 shows. The rangers were ninjas, in Space, traveling through time, Underwater, Using Magic, Across the Universe, Police Officers, in the Jungle, part dinosaur, and so on. RPM sounds like it has to do with cars, which has already been done in Power Rangers Turbo and Power Rangers Overdrive. Knowing the Japanese, RPM will be like the transformers, where the rangers will be able to morph into vehicles, or vehicles that transform into robots give the rangers their powers
