Biological evolution will continue as long as there is biological life.  The transition to bio-machine has already begun.  Think about eyeglasses, heart stents, implants like insulin pumps and pacemakers, artificial limbs - some are actually connected to nerve tissue, chip implants that aid senses, the list goes on and on.  

This technology continues to progress at an accelerated pace.  So, the next stage of general evolution (meaning beyond simple biological evolution) is to become part human part machine.

This is happening as we speak.
