  1. Probably not, however this isn't the first time nor will it be the last, and it just doesn;'t only happen in places like India.  Many Australian aboriginal children were taken from their parents and not so long ago, and is a total shame  on the government then  and the policies they made at the time to remove these children, for whatever the reason and many never ever were reunited with their families.

  2. I doubt it very much but if I were to adopt a child from another question I would want to see as much paper work and evidence about the child as possible as this is not the only case where it happens. Children are kidnapped all over and sold as orphans it is horrible to even think about it but it happens.

Sadly the only people who dont get affected by this are the people within the organisations.

  3. I think there must be some level of suspicion but in their desperation some people don't ask questions. I found the whole affair heartbreaking for the parents and the children. Firstly I couldn't imagine being apart from my child for whatever reason; it would destroy me; and secondly the child's fear and pain at being torn away from his/her parents...so cruel... I know it isn't as straight forward as that and sometimes it is for the best but it's not something I would ever want to be part of and for those who are I would hope they were the decent who would check everything was as it should be...:(

  4. They probably don't know for certain, but they must know the adoption procedure and suspect all is not as it should be.

Just goes to show how desperate some people are to have a child.

As another poster says, this is really sad for all concerned but my heart goes out to the mother who must have lived in anguish for 7 years.

    How very sad.

  5. I don't think so, I think that the adoptive parents are adopting in good faith.

What I think is just as sad, is the mother of the kidnapped 2 year old, who assumed she'd been taken for her kidney.

  6. Aww that is really sad.  I feel for the adoptive parents as well as the natural parents.  They would have finally thought their dream of having kids has come true and then finding this out.

  7. I wouldn't think so. I think they are applying to adopt children in good faith.

  8. They probably do,as it would be easier than normal.Do you think they would care anyway!?

  9. There is no way that they could know,  but it seems like they are doing the children a favor in the end.

And just why are we aborting so many children when there are people desperate to adopt???

  10. No.

  11. even if they know they will think that they are doing social service by helping poor childrens

  12. I find it very unlikely, very sad for all concerned.

  13. I doubt it and now potentially they could lose their children too.

  14. I hope not.

One would hope that anyone turning up in Austraila and suddenly being adopted gets their background & origins checked. They must come in with paper work.....??
