Do you think the people who claim that Climate Change theory is hysteria and media hype have kids?

I viewed a lot of answers yesterday and today from people who said they deliberately turned ON all their lights and other appliances during Earth Hour just to make a statement. Do these people have kids/grandkids?

Yes, I do have kids.

Global Warming, or Climate Change, or whatever name being used for it this week is nonsense.  There is no way humanity can do anything that will have any long term effect on this planet's climate, short of a full-scale nuclear war.

If the climate is changing, humanity has nothing to do with it.

Let's review - if carbon emissions are increasing global temperatures, then the more carbon emission we have, the hotter the climate, right?  If so, then please explain to me why is was warm enough 2000 years ago for the Romans to grow wine grapes in Britain, but it's too cold to do it now?

That Roman industrial complex must have been something, eh?

I'm sure you're too young to remember this, but in the 1970's, the environmental wackos were screaming about global cooling - and their solution was to decrease carbon emissions.  So, what is it?  Do carbon emissions cause warming, or cooling?  Make up your minds...

And I trust I will also be able to explain my stance to my children - I imagine my PhD will probably help in that regard.  I think the first time I heard folks like you saying it would all be over in 20 years was sometime in the 70's.  (For you math-impaired enviro-wackos, that was over 30 years ago)

i think the only reason people dont want believe in global warming/climate change is because it would mean that alot of children are going to have to suffern and it would be partially their faults

I do not think that anyone will argue that the climate will/does change without human help--look at the dry riverbeds in the Sahara desert, or even the ancient Egyptian building for storing grain--now in a desert.

If you were on a run a way horse would you start to hit the animal to make it go faster?

I think that most people do not realize what or how  we(everyone) effects the planet, As a group we must try to stop the incredible waist we have--

most north Americans do not realize how different our life style is --even in comparison to Britain's
