Do you think the people who wants to save trees are saving trees?

because i saw environmentalists give out papers to people that says "save trees".

But, does it mean when they use paper leaflets, they are loosing trees?

saving trees is a noble idea, but planting a pine tree where an oak or maple once occupied is not the answer. the government mandated law for using recycled paper was an ill advised law because it made the paper companies to recycle new paper to abide the the law. wood fibers need to be a certain lenght for it to have the properties you want for it. recycled paper fibers are shorter and need fresh paper to keep it together. the chemicals that break down the recycled paper is very bad for the environment. the best way to be green is reduce your use of products.
