  1. Firstly, I don't think I've ever seen a popup on Yahoo, so I don't think it's about that.

I have to admit, when I first started using Answers, I thought the point system was a bit lame, but after a couple of my answers were chosen as best answer and I got 10 points, I started getting into it. It's a pretty easy way to get some validation and feel like someone's paying attention.

  2. no

  3. First of all I think your use of the word 'g*y' in this context is absurd. There is no way a point system can have a sexual orientation so no I don't think it's g*y. If you are using the word g*y in a derogatory manor to accuse the point system of been lame, then you are perpetuating the conception that homosexuality is wrong. I find it highly insulting that you use such language.

However I do agree that the system is kinda lame, mostly because although the system could be potentially good at rewarding people for participating I think the way Yahoo! have set it up it simply encourages flaming and spamming in answers to gain points by making pointless and unhelpful posts yet you loose your points for asking a question, seems kinda stupid to me.

  4. don't you know how to use pop up blocker? most g**s do so join the club....
