Oil futures are sold auction style.  There is no motivation for anyone who is holding oil futures to allow the price to fall.

I dont think so... because now almost all of the prices are going up...So we must do something for our economic status...and praying that it may not come into a point where it become worse...again...

not an average, but it could hit that number.  the amount they want the yuan to raise will keep oil prices high

Right now believe that the price of oil goes down to $ 90, is almost impossible to imagine.

For this to happen should happen as follows:

1. To substantially increase the supply of oil-producing countries, forcing, by market rules, lower prices. Thus speculative oil companies would have to do the same.

2. To substantially reduce oil demand, and this point has more relevance because it would mean that the population and consuming countries, are using alternate energy sources to fossil fuel for commercial, industrial or personal use. We talk, hydrogen or ethanol as a substitute to oil for vehicles, increased use of hydro power, solar, wind, etc..

The current situation, political conflicts, allows us to doubt that short-term price of a barrel of oil will drop to $ 90 or more. Time will tell.

It really doesn't look that way i'm just hoping that the new fuel type Hydrogen gets fully developed and mass produced within this decade...

Nope because the fact that it's becomming harder and harder to come by by the second will increase the price. Simple case of Supply vs. Demand.
